On November 27th we will submerge into Jazz/Takes on 1980s U.K. New Wave songs by The Cure, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Smiths and Simple Minds. This concert will be led by the multi-Grammy Award-winning drummer Lenny White whose work with Miles Davis (on the groundbreaking 1969 album “Bitches’ Brew”) and the iconic 1970s group Return To Forever (with Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke) positions him as one of the founding fathers of jazz/fusion.

The Niels Lan Doky International Jazz Collective is an association of prolific musicians from Europe, North America and South America, devoted to presenting unique and exclusive jazz performances of which cannot be heard anywhere else. The collective is led by pianist Niels Lan Doky, whom the international press has hailed as “the best pianist of his generation” and “one of the most important pianists that European jazz has given us in the last 45 years”.

The concert is supported by Augustinus Fonden, William Demant Fonden & Gangsted Fonden.
