December 4th features the youngest and only female artist in the lot. With multiple Grammy Awards to her credit and past collaborations with a whos-who in jazz (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Stan Getz and numerous others), the prolific drummer, producer and former child prodigy Terri Lyne Carrington has this year alone so far been awarded Musician of the Year and Drummer of the Year by the US Jazz Journalist Association, and she has won Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Group of the Year from Downbeat Magazine’s Critics Poll. Her concert will feature Jazz/Takes on 1990s Seattle Grunge and songs by Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Temple Of The Dog – alongside her close friends and contemporaries, pianist Niels Lan Doky and bassist Lars Danielsson plus, as a special guest, the Danish harmonica prodigy Mathias Heise (See more information further below).

The Niels Lan Doky International Jazz Collective is an association of prolific musicians from Europe, North America, and South America, devoted to presenting unique and exclusive jazz performances of which cannot be heard anywhere else. The collective is led by pianist Niels Lan Doky, whom the international press has hailed as “the best pianist of his generation” and “one of the most important pianists that European jazz has given us in the last 45 years”.

The concert is supported by Augustinus Fonden, William Demant Fonden & Gangsted Fonden.
