The literary festival program begins on Thursday at 16.30 and ends on Sunday at 18.00.

Tickets and access
Admission to Louisiana also gives access to the festival. Tickets can be purchased online or at the museum: Please note that seats to festival events are not guaranteed with the purchase of entrance tickets.

Events in the Concert Hall require a ticket with an assigned seat. These tickets will be handed out 40 min. ahead of the scheduled event at the Information Tent in the Sculpture Park, please respect a maximum of 4 tickets pr. person.
Doors to the Concert Hall open 15 min prior to events and close on time.
There is Live transmission of events from the Concert Hall in the Sculpture Park.
For events at the indoor West Stage and the Park – and the Villa Stage in outdoor tents, seats are accessible on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of chairs are available, but there is room to stand and – at the outdoor tent stages – to listen from a spot on the lawn.
Seats inside the Park stage Tent are available approx. 40 min. prior to events. In addition, extra screens and sound coverage will be in place to ensure and provide an alternative to follow events on the Park Stage from the tent. Please note that guests with limited mobility may access the Park Stage area via the Column Gallery. When exiting the Gallery to the outside plateau, space there will be reserved for wheelchair users.
We clear all stages between events for preparations and sound-checks, so please refrain from leaving anything behind for any following events.
NB!
Please note that we expect a large turn-out of guests for the festival days at the Museum.
Therefore, guests may experience extra waiting time at the Museum entrance.
To ensure the best experience for Museum guests as well as for safety reasons, the Museum may close temporarily.
For safety reasons, please also note that Museum staff may, at all times, restrict access to festival stages.

Books and signings
During the festival, books by Louisiana Literature writers are available for purchase at the Louisiana shop. Following selected interviews and conversations in the Concert Hall, on the West Stage, and on the Park Stage a 15 min. session with book signings and purchase of books is scheduled.
Book sales and signings following events on the Park Stage take place in a separate tent on the lawn. Please note that a book signing session with Haruki Murakami will take place on Saturday, Aug 19 by the Park Stage. Kindly respect that Murakami will only sign, no dedication, and no photos.

Food and beverages are available at the Louisiana Cafe and the Park-Café in the Sculpture Park.

Food and beverages are not allowed inside the exhibition areas.
When seated in the festival tents, we kindly ask that you only enjoy beverages.

We expect extra interest in events with Haruki Murakami. Please note the following:

  • Murakami will be presented three times during the festival: Thursday, Aug.17, Friday, Aug 18, and Sunday, Aug 20. In addition, a book signing session with Murakami will take place on Saturday, Aug 19, from 11.30-12.15. Kindly respect that Murakami will only sign, no dedication, and no photos.
  • Events with Murakami will take place at the Park Stage, on the lower lawn by the sea.
  • Seats for Park Stage events cannot be reserved in advance or otherwise.

Parking
There is a free car park outside the museum’s main entrance as well as a car park at the Humlebæk Centre as an alternative if full. The Humlebæk Centre is about a ten-minute walk from the museum. Please note, that there are both free and time-limited parking, so please check information at the car park.

The car park by the museum is public parking and therefor there is no CCTV. We recommend that you bring along any valuables and use the lockers inside the museum.

Parking spaces for the disabled are available on Louisevej in front of the museum’s main entrance. Please note, that it is not allowed to park outside the marked spaces on Louisevej.

You will find four charging stations to charge your electric car outside the museum at the end of Gl. Strandvej. The charging stations are by Clever type-2 AC 11-22 kW.

Photos and video
Please note, that as a guest during the festival we will record and take photos of events from the various stages and in the park. A selection of the images may be used by the museum in connection with communication of the festival in the future.
